An encounter broke out on Sunday morning between security forces and terrorists in Jammu and Kashmir’s Tral.

Security forces launched a cordon and search operation in the area after receiving specific intelligence about the presence of terrorists there, an official said.

As the security forces were conducting the searches, the terrorists fired at them, triggering an encounter, an official added.
