One individual was killed and 11 harmed when a vehicle slammed into a truck on the Jammu-Srinagar Public Expressway in Ramban locale, authorities said.

The mishap happened late on Wednesday when a rhythm explorer on its way from Jammu to Srinagar crashed into a truck coming from the other way in the Shabanbass area of Banihal.

The rhythm explorer was conveying 16 travelers, including 12 vacationers from Kerala, authorities said.

As per authorities, one traveler passed on the spot, while 11 others got away with minor wounds.

The harmed were moved to medical clinic, they said.
