Mumbai Indians captain Hardik Pandya has been fined Rs 30 lakh and suspended from his group's initial match of the following version of IPL for delayed over-rate offense for the third time in the opposition.

With Mumbai Indians' IPL 2024 mission finishing on Friday after their last association game against Lucknow Super Monsters, Pandya's suspension will just become effective during group's initial game next season.

"Hardik Pandya, the Mumbai Indians skipper, has been fined after his group kept a delayed over rate during their IPL2024 match against Lucknow Super Monsters at the Wankhede Arena, Mumbai on May 17," a media discharge expressed.

"As it was his group's third offense of the time under the IPL's Implicit set of rules connecting with least over rate offenses, Pandya was fined Rs 30 lakh and restricted from playing the group's next match," it further expressed.

Any remaining individuals from the group, including 'Effect Player' Rohit Sharma, have been fined 50% or Rs 12 lakh of their particular match charges, whichever is lower.

"The other individuals from the Playing XI, including the Effect Player, were each separately fined either Rs 12 lakh or 50% of their particular match expenses, whichever is lesser," it expressed.

There is no proper rule except for typically the group the executives pays the fine for its players. The players barely lose anything monetarily.
