Aug 18, 2025: C. P. Radhakrishnan, governor of Maharashtra, met with Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday, a day after the ruling NDA alliance announced that he would be running for vice president. He arrived here to take part in various meetings of the NDA and met several leaders.

Modi wrote on X shortly after the meeting, "Met Thiru CP Radhakrishnan Ji." wished him luck in becoming the NDA's vice presidential candidate. Our nation will greatly benefit from his extensive experience in a variety of fields and long years of public service. May he continue to serve the country with the same determination and dedication that he has always shown.

On August 20, Radhakrishnan is likely to submit his nomination. At the NDA parliamentary party meeting on Tuesday, he is likely to be congratulated.
