Telangana BJP chief Bandi Sanjay's son, Bandi Sai Bhagirath, has surrendered before Dundigal Police in an assault case. According to police, Bhagirath, who has been booked under criminal charges, surrendered on Wednesday. Bhagirath was booked based on a complaint filed by Mahindra University after videos of the alleged assault went viral. The undated videos of Bhagirath showed him assaulting a fellow student at a private college in Hyderabad went viral. The police have filed a case under Sections 341, 323, 504, and 506 r/w 34 of the Indian Penal Code. However, the state BJP chief alleged it was a conspiracy by Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao in a bid to settle "political scores."
