May 31, 2025: The Ramban district of Jammu & Kashmir was disrupted on Saturday by a hailstorm and heavy rainfall. In the meantime, moderate to heavy rain affected daily operations in areas of Srinagar city.
Nonetheless, the rain was welcomed by Srinagar tourists. "The rainy weather here feels beautiful and soothing," one visitor commented. It was nearly as hot here as it was in Uttar Pradesh a few days earlier, and we are tourists. However, this rainy, cold weather has been a welcome change since coming. The residents appear to be ecstatic with the change, and Dal Lake looks breathtaking in this weather.Nonetheless, the rain was welcomed by Srinagar tourists. Rain is extremely important because it provides so much respite. We have read that it becomes hot for a few days and then rains, and fortunately, this lovely weather has matched wonderfully with our vacation.
The India Meteorological Department (IMD) warned of isolated heavy rainfall, thunderstorms, lightning, and gusty winds of 40–50 kmph on Friday, along with widespread light to moderate rain and thunderstorms throughout the Kashmir Division.
