June 30, 2025: Shefali Jariwala passed away at the age of 42 on Friday night (June 27). Her untimely demise left everyone in utter shock and grief. The actress, who rose to fame with her superhit song Kaanta Laga, worked in Bollywood, South Indian films, and multiple TV shows, including Bigg Boss 13. Her sudden death sparked numerous inquiries, the most important of which was, "What took her life so quickly?" Amboli police received a preliminary report on Sunday, June 29, stating that "the doctors said they suspected the cause of death to be a dip in her BP" during the procedure.

Shefali Jariwala death details:
According to police, the new Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita law, which outlines the steps that must be taken to determine the cause of unexpected deaths, required a forensic team to be sent to her home following the incident. "As a part of this procedure, the doctors said they suspected the cause of death to be a dip in her BP," a police officer stated. Shefali had reportedly been fasting on the day of the incident as part of a Satyanarayan Puja held at her home, which her parents also attended. The police also stated she collapsed after eating some food from the refrigerator.

Recorded video of the funeral: As per a report, Shefali's post-mortem was conducted at Cooper Hospital. Officials confirmed that the examination was recorded on video. Additionally, officials disclosed that "a team of five doctors is preparing the post-mortem report." Its preliminary report is likely to come today.

14 people questioned, CCTV footage collected:
The investigation by the police is complete. They have already recorded statements from 14 people. These include her family members, domestic staff, and close friends who often met Shefali. They can use this to create a clear timeline of her final days. "The police have also recorded the statement of the pharmacist of the medical store from where Shefali and her family used to procure medicines," was mentioned in the same report. Along with this, police have taken seven samples of CCTV footage from around her building. They are now going through these videos to check who visited Shefali’s home and if anything unusual was caught on camera.

Early medical findings hint at natural causes
As per the findings from the first medical checks, the report further said, “Shefali's death is said to have been due to low blood pressure, cardiac arrest and heavy gastric condition.” However, specific confirmation of specifics is needed.

Parag Tyagi performed the late actress' last rites on June 28 who was seen breaking down at the funeral and later told the media and her fans to pray for her. Close family, friends and many well-known faces from the television world were there to pay their final respects.
