July 1, 2025: The automaker explained that the revision is aimed at partially offsetting the impact of higher manufacturing and supply chain expenses. This will be MG’s second price revision in seven months. In December 2024, the company had increased prices across its range by up to 3% in line with year-end market trends.
JSW MG Motor India has announced that it will increase the prices of select car models by up to 1.5% starting July 1, 2025. The company says the move has been triggered by a rise in input costs and ongoing macroeconomic pressures.
The automaker explained that the change aims to partially offset the impact of higher costs associated with manufacturing and the supply chain. After seven months, this will be MG's second price increase. In accordance with year-end market trends, the company had increased prices across its range by up to 3% in December 2024. MG Motor’s current Indian lineup includes the Astor, Hector, Gloster, and three electric vehicles – Comet EV, ZS EV, and Windsor EV. While the company has not specified which models will be affected by the upcoming hike, customers planning to buy any MG vehicle may want to finalise their purchase before the new rates are applied.
To mark its sixth year in India, the automaker had recently reduced prices on all ZS EV models. The Windsor EV, MG’s latest launch, also introduced a new ownership option with its Battery as a Service (BaaS) model.
As part of a larger strategy to expand its EV offerings in the Indian market, MG Motor is also getting ready to introduce two brand-new electric vehicles to the market: the Cyberster roadster and the MG M9 MPV.
