Aug 4, 2025: Shah Rukh Khan, better known as Bollywood's Badshah, recently received his first-ever National Award, marking a significant career achievement. The superstar received the honor for his performance in Atlee's 2023 blockbuster "Jawan." The event was memorable not only for his close friends and family but also for all of his countrywide followers. Among those who celebrated his win was politician and author Shashi Tharoor. Tharoor, who is renowned for his eloquent vocabulary, kept it brief and to the point this time. He wrote on social media, “A National Treasure wins a National Award! Congratulations.”
SRK responds to Tharoor with wit: SRK jumped at the chance to add his signature charm to the situation. “Thank u for the simple praise Mr Tharoor... Would not have understood something more magniloquent and sesquipedalian... ha ha,” SRK tweeted in a humorous response to Shashi Tharoor. The witty exchanges, especially SRK channeling Tharoor's own style, were adored by fans.

SRK says award was long overdue:
Shah Rukh Khan is one of India's biggest stars, but he has never won a National Award until now. He finally received this long-deserved recognition for his performance in "Jawan." In a video, SRK expressed his gratitude for the victory. "Adab and Namaskar. I'm obviously overcome with pride, humility, and gratitude. I will never forget the moment I was presented with the National Award. "Thank you so much to the jury, the chairman, the INB ministry, and to everyone who thought I was worthy of this honor," he continued.

SRK thanks his loved ones and fans: The actor made it a point in his acceptance speech to thank everyone who helped him, including his family, the government, and the film teams.
