Aug 5, 2025: Son of Sardaar 2's box office haul Day 4: Ajay Devgn's film received mixed reviews. Ravi Kishan, Sanjay Mishra & Deepak Dobriyal's performances were appreciated.
On the first Monday, there is a dip in Son of Sardaar 2:
Sacnilk says that Ajay's movie made 24.75 crore in its first weekend, with 7.25 crore on Day 1, 8.25 crore on Day 2, and 9.25 crore on Day 3. On its first Monday, however, the film only brought in 2.50 crore rupees at the box office. The total collection of the movie now stands at ?27.25 crore.
Even though the movie is still ahead of Dhadak 2, Saiyaara is clearly a tough competitor. On Monday, Ajay's film made slightly more money than Ahaan Panday and Aneet Padda's Saiyaara did on its 18th day at the box office. The trade tracking website says that Saiyaara made 1.82 crore yen, bringing its total yen from the box office to 301.29 crore yen. The female lead in the film, Mrunal Thakur, was seen urging people to see the movie in theaters and decide for themselves what would happen to it. When a fan tweeted about the film’s mixed reviews on social media, saying, “The way the reviews are on Instagram and YouTube, I don’t even feel like watching it anymore,” Mrunal responded, “Most of the reviews are misleading… I would appreciate if you decide how YOU LIKE IT SIR!”
Concerning Son of Sardaar 2:
The story of Ajay's character Jassi, who was a big hit in 2012's Son of Sardaar, continues in the sequel. Jassi is summoned to London by his wife, Neeru Bajwa, who asks for a divorce. He meets Rabia (Mrunal Thakur), a spirited member of an all-female wedding dhol band, while stranded and heartbroken. Saba (Roshni Walia), Rabia's younger sister, is in love with the son of the strict and traditional Raja (Ravi Kishan), who demands to meet her parents before granting permission.
What's the issue?
The parents of Saba are no more. Jassi agrees to play Rabia as her mother while Jassi plays her father, a former army colonel. A hilarious and chaotic ride filled with turns, emotional beats, and drama ensues. The film received mixed reviews from critics. However, audiences and critics alike praised the performances and comedic timing of Sanjay Mishra, Deepak Dobriyal, and Ravi Kishan.
