Aug 4, 2025: Today, at the Convention Centre in Jammu, Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha gave a speech at the Medhavi Chhatra Samman Samaroh, which was put on by the Amar Ujala Group. The Lieutenant Governor felicitated the meritorious students of class 10th and 12th from JKBOSE. He wished each student well and offered his congratulations. It is inspiring to observe the youthful generation's ebullient spirit and unwavering commitment to nation building. The Lieutenant Governor stated, "The daring pursuits of our students will guarantee a bright future for the nation and humanity." In his address, the Lieutenant Governor urged educational institutions and the teaching community to focus on the youth's overall development, teach them life lessons, encourage new ideas, and encourage students to be creative and independent thinkers while ensuring that they have access to global education standards. “I am of the firm belief that the appropriate balance of science and sanskar will enable students to meet the challenges of the future. To fully exploit the potential of India’s growing economic power, school education must focus on developing scientific temper and curiosity among students,” the Lieutenant Governor said.
He urged the Amar Ujala Group to establish a special award to honor students for original research and innovations. He added that the students' original ideas, original essays, and research papers should be honored and celebrated because they show their individual personality and critical thinking skills. The Lieutenant Governor made the observation that the Hon'ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi has given the country's education system the National Education Policy, which has given young people more power. He emphasized that the emphasis on value-based education in the education policy has ensured that young students acquire not only knowledge but also a moral and ethical foundation for becoming responsible citizens. True Knowledge can change everything. The seeker's life is altered as a result. It fosters new innovations, discoveries, and research while instilling core values like integrity, patience, and honesty. The true Knowledge allows an individual to contribute meaningfully to society and the nation.
We must understand that the right education triggers curiosity and creative thinking and inspires students to explore the unknown.
It should be our prime responsibility to nurture future-oriented talent and create a conducive environment where the students acquire knowledge and education in their truest forms,” he said.
The Lieutenant Governor also called upon the youth to find their inner voice and achieve excellence in life.
"You are this nation's growth engine and its future."
