Aug 8, 2025: Shots were fired at the Bollywood actor-comedian Kapil Sharma's Surrey, British Columbia, cafe on Thursday, the second time it had been attacked in less than a month. KAP's Cafe, which is located at the intersection of 85 Avenue and Scott Road, was attacked around 4:30 a.m., according to locals. According to reports, no one was hurt in the incident, though more information from the police is still needed. The details of the damage to the establishment are also awaited.

On social media gangster, Goldy Dhillon, who claims affiliation with the Lawrence Bishnoi gang, took responsibility for the attack. An unverified post on the social media read, “Jai Shree Ram. Sat Shree Akaal, Ram Ram to all brothers.
The firing that happened today at Kapil Sharma’s Kaps Cafe in Surrey has been claimed by Goldy Dhillon, affiliated with the Lawrence Bishnoi gang. We called him but he did not answer the call, so we had to take action. If he still does not respond, then we will take the next action in Mumbai soon."
The windows of the establishment were damaged, and locals claimed that at least six shots were fired. On July 10, a similar attack had taken place.
The cafe was subsequently closed.
It had reopened on July 20.
