Aug 12, 2025: Today, the second group of the ancient Mani Mahesh Yatra left Bhaderwah with a sacred mace to continue their journey to Bharmod (Himachal Pradesh), home of the holy shrine.

In 313 vehicles, approximately 3,000 devotees carrying a holy mace left Bhaderwah via the Bhaderwah-Padri-Chamba interstate route. They will join the first Charri at Bharmod in Chamba, which left on foot on August 3. Thereafter they will reach revered lake of Mani-Mahesh on August 15 (Janamashtami) together to have a holy dip and to offer traditional prayers.

Adequate security arrangements and other facilities were made in advance by the administration for the smooth conduct of the pilgrimage.

Free langars have been installed by various devotees en-route the holy shrine.
The Mani Mahesh Kailash peak, which is high close to the Mani Mahesh Lake and is located in the Himalayas, is believed to be Lord Shiva's residence.

Throughout the pilgrimage, a number of night-shelters and restaurants have opened along the trekking route and in the village of Dhanshow, which is approximately 6 kilometers from Hadsar on the way to Mani Mahesh.
