Aug 13, 2025: In the ICC T20I rankings, Australia's Tim David and South Africa's Dewald Brevis made significant gains. However, India's ODI captain Rohit Sharma moved up to second place in the ICC ODI batting rankings as Pakistan's top batter Babar Azam fell to third place. In the Men's T20I Batting Rankings, David, who has scored the most runs since the two matches against South Africa, moved up six spots to a new career-high 10th position. Cameron Green, a fellow citizen, rose six places to rank 17th on the same list. Due to his record-breaking efforts in Darwin, the young Brevis of South Africa stormed his way up to the 21st position for the country after sitting outside the 100 rankings. He burst into action with a blistering 125* to help Proteas even the three-match series at 1-1. Brevis dazzled with his first T20I ton, the highest score ever by a South African player in his ninth appearance in the format. Tristan Stubbs, a teammate, moved up 12 spots to rank 27th among T20I batters. Josh Hazlewood from Australia has moved up three spots to 20th in the T20I Bowling rankings. In the meantime, South African speedsters Lungi Ngidi and Kagiso Rabada moved up 14 places to rank 50th and 44th, respectively, in the same rankings. A number of New Zealand players enjoyed success in the Men's Test rankings after their dominant 2-0 series victory over Zimbabwe away from home. After taking 16 wickets at an overall average of 9.12, the skilled fast bowler Matt Henry was named the Series Player of the Year. He improved one spot to third overall in the Test Bowling Rankings, forcing Australia captain Pat Cummins to drop to number four, setting a new career-high rating. Rachin Ravindra, Devon Conway, and Henry Nicholls were rewarded for their clinical performances in Zimbabwe by moving up 15 spots to 23rd, 37th, and 47th, respectively, in the batters category. After his subpar performance against the West Indies, Pakistan's top order star Babar dropped to third place in the ODI list. Babar, known for his refined technique, struck 56 runs across three matches at 18.66.
After taking a wicket in each of the series' first two matches, West Indies spinner Gudakesh Motie rose five spots to 12th place in the ODI Bowling Rankings. Jayden Seales, a teammate and the pace leader for the Caribbean team, moved up 24 places to 33rd. Abrar Ahmed, Pakistan's primary spinner, improved three places to 54th.
