Shiv Sena (UBT) Intensifies Campaign Against Rohingyas in Jammu
JANMU TAWI | 9 JANUARY 2026:
In a bold move to rid Jammu and Kashmir of illegal immigrants, the Shiv Sena (UBT) has stepped up its campaign in the Bari Brahmana area of Jammu today. Led by state president Manish Sahni, party leaders gathered near the Bari Brahmana railway station, holding placards proclaiming 'Save Jammu - Drive out Rohingyas' to raise awareness among local street vendors about identifying potential illegal immigrants.
The campaign sparked action when reports surfaced of Rohingyas and Bangladeshis allegedly setting up stalls in the vicinity. The situation escalated after some individuals fled, leaving their belongings behind when they noticed the presence of Shiv Sena members. In response, an outraged group of party activists set the abandoned items ablaze.
Sahni expressed grave concerns about the growing presence of these individuals on the outskirts of Jammu, emphasizing the threat they pose to local security. He highlighted issues of resource usurpation and the negative impact on Jammu's reputation due to theft, criminal activities, and illegal enterprises like drug trafficking.
Issuing a stern warning, Sahni urged Rohingyas and Bangladeshis to vacate Jammu and Kashmir—and India—at the earliest opportunity. He confirmed that local law enforcement had been notified prior to the launch of this initiative.
The event witnessed participation from notable members including Vikas Bkashi, Raj Singh, Sanjeev Kohli, Balwant Singh Shashipal, Pawan Singh, Varinder Kumar, Rajinder Kumar, Saharoj, Abhishek, Ankit Kumar, and many others.
