Aug 12, 2025: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Jammu & Kashmir, under the leadership of its president, Sat Sharma, Leader of Opposition in J&K Assembly, Sunil Sharma, and general secretary (Org), Ashok Koul, convened a high-level meeting at the party Headquarters, Trikuta Nagar, here, today.

The meeting was attended by senior leaders including State general secretaries Sanjita Dogra, Baldev Singh Billawaria, Anwar Khan, and Gopal Mahajan.
The meeting concluded the party's upcoming programs and had in-depth discussions about the UT's political situation. It was decided that the BJP will soon hold a comprehensive organizational workshop with representatives from each organizational district of the Union Territory and all State office bearers.

While shedding light on the current sociopolitical conditions in J&K, Sat Sharma stated that the BJP is committed to enhancing grassroots democracy. He said that Jammu & Kashmir stands at the threshold of a new era under Prime Minister, Narendra Modi. The politics of separatism and opportunism is dead and no force, political or otherwise can stop Modi’s vision from reaching every home here, he said.

“BJP is the present and future of this region ensuring J&K with development, national integration, and political stability. Sat Sharma stated, "The party will undertake massive public outreach in the coming months to bring the BJP's development vision to every household." Sunil Sharma, taking a direct swipe at the opposition, stated that those who thrived on discrimination, corruption, and divisive politics for decades are now irrelevant. Their lies have been exposed by the public. He stated that the politics of the BJP are about empowerment without appeasement, and we will convey this message to every voting booth, voter, and household.

Ashok Koul described the organizational plan, stating that the BJP is holding massive Tiranga Yatras in all districts to celebrate nationalism. He said that Deen Dayal Upadhyay's birthday on September 25 and Pt. Prem Nath Dogra’s birth anniversary on October 24 will be observed with full public participation at the ground level.

He stated that listening programs for Mann Ki Baat would be held at each booth and urged the State general secretaries to intensify their "Pravas" in order to cover every square inch of the UT.

In addition, the state general secretaries provided in-depth information about the ongoing organizational programs in their designated regions.
